Final Activity Report (March 2013): Supporting Recovery from the Great East Japan Earthquake

Support activities for the past two years

The Great East Japan Earthquake that occurred on March 11, 2011 caused unprecedented damage. We started a fundraising campaign under the slogan "What We Can Do" in our desire to support those affected as well as people who wanted to offer their help in the disaster recovery.

Thanks to your kind support, a total amount of JPY 23,913,967 (as of June 15, 2011) was donated. We have worked on various support activities in cooperation with non-profit organization ChildFund Japan, using part of the donated money.

ChildFund Japan's projects, which support the disaster recovery of people affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake of 2011, were successfully completed in March 2013. We would like to express our gratitude for your heartfelt support over the past two years.

An activity report meeting entitled "We are with you!—How we connected with each other" took place at Shibuya Hikarie in Tokyo on March 16, 2013, just before the support projects came to a close. Masashi Yasuda, Managing Director of the GMO Internet Group, attended the meeting and talked about his experience in the activities.
