Cloud Hosting Solution for Social Games, GMO AppsCloud, Wins Grand Prize in the GameBusiness.jp App Cloud Awards for the Second Consecutive Year in 2013
 
Tokyo – January 16, 2013 – GMO Internet is proud to announce that GMO AppsCloud today received three awards in the GameBusiness.jp App Cloud Awards 2013, including the Grand Prize and awards in the categories of “Functionality” and “Customer Support”.
 
GameBusiness.jp App Cloud Awards 2013 are presented by IID, Inc., operator of several game media websites including GameBusiness.jp and iNSIDE. The awards recognize outstanding customer satisfaction in relation to cloud solutions for social games. GMO Internet launched GMO AppsCloud in August 2010 providing a cost efficient, cloud based hosting environment optimized for social games that are distributed via Japan’s major social platforms. GMO AppsCloud hosts over 1,000 game titles. This is the second consecutive year that GMO AppsCloud has taken out the Grand Prize and this year the service was also recognized in the Functionality and Customer Support categories.
 
Going forward GMO Internet will strive to continuing providing the industry’s highest specs at the lowest prices and further enhance the GMO AppsCloud solution to meet the needs of the growing number of Japanese developers who are looking to distribute apps in North America and other markets as well as developers from outside of Japan.

GameBusiness.jp is an online game magazine operated by IID, Inc. The magazine asked readers as well as panelists from the online research community “Anpara” to rank cloud solutions by level of customer satisfaction via an online survey. The App Cloud Awards 2013 recognize the service operators who received the highest number of votes from participants.
