New Mobage Cloud GMO Plan for Mobage Town’s Official Partner Support Program
Tokyo – October 21, 2010 – GMO Apps Cloud, the GMO Internet cloud solution optimized for hosting apps, together with Mobage operator DeNA today announces the launch of Mobage Cloud GMO Plan, as part of Mobage Town and the Yahoo! Mobage partner support program. Mobage Cloud GMO Plan is a dedicated solution for social apps providers.
About Mobage Cloud GMO Plan
GMO Apps Cloud is a cloud solution that offers a server environment optimized to host social apps for major Japanese gaming platforms at industry low prices. Launched in August this year the service combines GMO Internet Group's web hosting systems architecture and operation expertise with firsthand knowledge and experience of the GMO Social Apps Initiative, a support project for social app developers.
As a low-cost and flexible solution, GMO Apps Cloud is ideal for hosting social apps where traffic typically can’t easily be predicted, and also includes analytics tools essential operation of social apps. The solution has been exceptionally well-received and in its first two months has attracted an overwhelming number of apps providers.
In addition to optimized specs and low prices, the new service is provided in partnership with DeNA as an official partner support program of Mobage Town one of Japan’s leading social apps platforms.
Mobage Cloud GMO Plan: Features
1. Hosting plans designed for apps hosting
Eight different server plans designed especially for apps hosting. The custom designed service ensures that application providers aren’t paying for features they don’t use. In addition we go beyond what existing cloud environments offer with even greater scalability and server resources (over 200 concurrent servers). Developers can focus on application development without spending more time than necessary on performance tuning.
2. Simple Fee Structure/No Setup Costs
There are absolutely no setup fees for GMO Apps Cloud – we have eliminated this cost barrier for apps developers. The service enables developers to reduce overall costs - the only charges that apply are monthly fees for one of eight plans and data transmission fees. In addition there is no minimum usage contract, and the service can be deployed in as little as two days making it ideal for situations where speed is key. A high-performance load balancer is also provided free of charge.
3. Local Data Center, 10 Gbps Shared Bandwidth
When bandwidth is slow, many platform providers will treat the application itself as being down for maintenance. In order to prevent this we offer high quality bandwidth (10 Gbps) and a data center located in Japan.
4. Free Pre-Release Server Usage plus Four Days Free Usage after Release
Mobage Cloud GMO Plan offers up to 30 days free server usage between server setup and application release. In addition in the first 4 days after release when traffic is difficult to forecast we offer free usage of up to 20 servers (Type XS plan). This offer is intended to support new applications in the crucial first few days to attract users while at the same time helping to reduce initial costs.
5. Feature Packed Cloud Service
Using our own control panel design, developers can add and remove servers, set load balancing and access other features. Usage can be scaled and apps updated quickly and at short notice.
