Giving Children a Third Chance to Read a Good Book
-JWord Now Seeking Schools to Receive Book Donations-

Tokyo – October 22, 2008 – GMO Internet Group company JWord, the company that operates the Japanese keyword search service of the same name, announces that the third cycle of the Giving Children a Chance to Read a Good Book community service click fundraising initiative, is set to reach its one million yen fundraising target in March 2010. This means we are now accepting applications from elementary schools that would like to receive books. Giving Children a Chance to Read a Good Book is supported by the Morning Reading Program.

Seeking Elelmentary Schools to Receive Books

This fundraising initiative encourages children to read by donating books to elementary schools. Now in its third cycle, the program expects to reach its one million yen fundraising target around March next year. We will donate 200,000 yen worth of books to five schools in five designated areas across Japan, and are now seeking applications.
In this cycle of the program we will donate books requested by the selected schools. Please visit the third Giving Children a Chance to Read a Good Book official site for details. We will also post fundraising reports on this site.
Each time a user correctly answers a question on the quiz website, JWord donates money to the project - participation costs our supporters nothing.
