GMO MAKESHOP Awarded Privacy Mark Accreditation
Tokyo – June 16, 2009 – GMO Internet Group company, GMO MakeShop announces that on May 25, 2009 the company received Privacy Mark accreditation from Japan Information Processing Development Corporation (JIPDEC).
Privacy Mark is an accreditation awarded by JIPDEC to businesses that have systems in place to ensures adequate safeguards in the handling of personal information. JIPDEC issues a Privacy Mark to accredited businesses, who are permitted to use the mark in business activities.
GMO MAKESHOP has always considered the protection of personal information to be critical to the provision of secure services, and we strive to improve control systems. Receiving the Privacy Mark is recognition from an independent organization that GMO MAKESHOP has appropriate personal information protection measures in place.
Going forward, GMO MAKESHOP will continue to offer an optimal net shop environment, not only through the protection of personal information but by striving to operate, maintain and improve management of appropriate information security management systems.
