Onamae.com Celebrates 9th Birthday with Launch of .am and .fm Registration
Tokyo – September 10, 2008 – GMO Internet official ICANN*1 domain registrar, Onamae.com announces that in celebration of its ninth anniversary it will today begin accepting registrations for two new domains, .am and .fm.
*1 ICANN (The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers): American non-profit organization responsible for the global management of Internet domain names and IP addresses. It also holds the authority to designate official domain registration companies.
The .am and .fm Domains
The .am and .fm domains are the country code top-level domains for the Republic of Armenia and the Federated States of Micronesia. There are no particular registration requirements and registration is open to all.
These domains can be used to represent AM and FM radio and are ideal for websites that offer broadband content or Internet radio. A range of uses is also possible when combined with .tv or .cx domains to represent television.
Eg.) A site that offers both video distribution and music streaming could use the same name for both services (video distribution XXX.tv music streaming XXX.fm).

How to Register a Domain
1. Go to the Onamae.com site and conduct a search for the domain name you would like to register.
2. If a circle appears next to a domain (.com, .am etc.) in the search results then that domain is available to be registered. Click on the domain and then click “Register this Domain”.
3. Enter registration details, payment details and other required information.
4. Your domain registration is complete.
