Domain Registrar, Onamae.com Celebrates 12th Anniversary
Tokyo – September 13, 2011 – Onamae.com, the ICANN-accredited registrar operated by GMO Internet, this week celebrates its twelfth year of providing domain registration services. In the past twelve years, Onamae.com customers have registered a total of over 3.2 million domains.
In 1999, Onamae.com became the first domain registrar in Asia, at the time offering just three domains (.com/.net/.org) - today, the service handles 77 domains. The fourteenth largest domain registrar worldwide (webhosting.info 9/2011) and one of the largest in Japan, Onamae.com has accumulated over 3.2 million registrations. Pace of growth has also risen and continues to rise, particularly in the past year where total registrations have grown by 1 million.
