GMO MAKESHOP Introduces “mixi Check” Button to Shopping Web Sites ItemPOST and GiriGiri Market

Tokyo – September 13, 2010 – GMO Internet Group company, GMO MAKESHOP, announces that as of today online shopping websites ItemPOST and GiriGiri Market will feature the mixi Check button, a new service by mixi, inc. the operator of social networking service, mixi.

mixi Check is a new communication tool for the social networking service, mixi that provides users with a simple way to share information. Users can share interesting news articles and other information with their mixi friends, and find out what other mixi users are reading.
GMO MAKESHOP has placed the mixi Check button on each product page of shopping website ItemPOST and social commerce website GiriGiri Market. Visitors can click on the mixi “check” button to add a product to their mixi list of favorites or to encourage friends to purchase the same item (*1). mixi users will also be able to take advantage of the service to consult comments and reviews by their mixi friends when shopping online. 
(*1) GiriGiri Market allows the user to “check” the site itself, not individual products.
 
ItemPOST is a shopping portal site that allows MakeShop stores to display their products free-of-charge.

GiriGiri Market features a series of limited time offers – usually between one and three days – on just released products and other in-demand items made available using the MakeShop Social Limited Time Sale tool. All products are made available at a discounted price once a pre-determined number buyers is reached. Visitors to GiriGiri Market who find something they like can recruit other buyers by posting the product to Twitter or Facebook.
