GMO mobile Launches News and Entertainment iPhone Application, Yomerumo
Tokyo – May 12, 2010 – GMO mobile, a wholly-owned subsidiary of GMO Internet Group company, GMO AD Partners, announces the launch of “Yomerumo News”, a free iPhone/iPod application available in the App Store since Saturday, May 8.
Yomerumo is a free news and entertainment service by GMO mobile available on the three cell phone carriers docomo, au, and SoftBank. The site receives around 60 million page views per month. In addition to news and entertainment Yomerumo offers trending topics on the web, a column on love, 4-panel manga and user generated content, delivering over 150 articles each day to cell phone users.
GMO mobile’s release of the free Yomerumo News for iPhone/iPod touch enables free access to application content for iPhone users, a rapidly growing market demographic.
Yomerumo also allows iPhone users to post links and comments to Twitter from within the application.
