Paperboy&co. Launches Joint Project with Japan Post
and Opens Postage Stamp Web Ring

  • GMO Pepabo, Inc.

Tokyo – April 2, 2007 -- Paperboy&co. has today launched web ring tool, Pospi to promote the postage stamp design service offered by Japan Post .
Japan Post and paperboy&co. aim to reinvent the postage stamp as an expression of creativity and not just something to be stuck on an envelope. The introduction of the online Frame Stamp service is our opportunity to launch this joint project. The first stage is Pospi, a web tool that incorporates the use of Frame Stamp postage stamps.

Background to the project
The Japan Post original postage stamp design service, Frame Stamp allows users to create their own unique stamp using a digital photo or image they have designed themselves. The service is already available from post offices all over Japan and as of today it will also be available online.
Paperboy&co. web hosting and blog services already publish user photographs and designs so Frame Stamp is a natural addition for our users and this is why we contacted Japan Post and established the joint project.

Pospi
Pospi is a web ring tool that connects users who have registered their own postage stamp designs. All that is required to participate is the image used on the stamp and the user’s site details (URL, site name). Pospi randomly displays stamp designs along with registered site details. When visitors click on a stamp they are taken to the user site created by the designer of that stamp. Pospi can be inserted into any website including those that do not belong to a registered user. Even users who aren’t registered can enjoy discovering new sites through the web ring.
