GMO MAKESHOP Launches Reservation Shop
~Allows hotels, restaurants and other service industry businesses to accept online reservations~

Tokyo, December 2, 2008 -- GMO Internet Group company GMO MAKESHOP, the company that manages the online store construction ASP/SaaS service, MakeShop today launches Reservation Shop. The new service integrates reservation capabilities into an ASP/SaaS web site construction tool ideal for a wide range of businesses including hotels, restaurants and hairdresser salons.
Reservation Shop, developed on the principles of “high functionality”, “simplicity” “security” and “cost competitiveness”, is a new ASP/SaaS service that makes it possible to consolidate the administration of CMS web site design, a reservation function and customer management tools (CRM).

The online reservation market is now believed to be worth in excess of one trillion fifty million yen. In the service industry there is particularly strong demand from customers of hotels and restaurants and online reservation capabilities are fast becoming essential to many businesses. At present these service operators often advertise on mall-type reservation portal sites to attract reservations from new customers. However, with further growth in demand for online reservation functions we can expect customers to be guided to a reservation system within the company’s web site.
GMO MAKESHOP has taken advantage of its domain service market experience and advanced technology developed by providing the online store ASP/SaaS service, MakeShop to develop Reservation Shop. The servise is a web site construction tool with reservation function for easy building and updating of service sites. Reservation Shop aims to grow the Internet reservation market and help customers expand distribution roots.
