Paperboy&co. Launches Free Life Log Service
Tokyo – April 24, 2008 – GMO Internet Group company, paperboy&co. today launches the official version of free life log service, Logpi.
Logpi, developed by paperboy&co. is easier than a blog and more convenient than a mini blog, the free life log service is a space where users can create a record of their daily lives. On April 1, 2008 we held a one day beta test, in which approximately 600 users recorded around 9,000 postings. We have taken the many requests and opinions received during the beta test and used them to provide an improved final release.
A JugemKeyID or OpenID is required to use Logpi, users of JugemKey services such as JUGEM and POOKMARK Airlines can use their existing IDs to log in to Logpi.
Logpi Life Log
Logpi users simply select a title and post their entry. Logs can be viewed by most recent posting, user name or title. This is a forum for recording daily life as well as an alternative to scheduling memos, and a place for theme based communication between users. Users record logs by title making it possible to apply Logpi to a variety of uses. In addition to making regular posts users can opt to simultaneously post to Twitter*, or make a post private.
Friend registration and respond to comment features enhance user communication.
*Twitter, by US company Twitter Inc, is a communication tool that allows users to make short 140 character posts.
In conjunction with the official release of Logpi we are also introducing a trial version of Mobile Logpi with the same features as Logpi. Mobile Logpi is connected to Logpi so whenever one is updated it is reflected in both versions.
Add Some Color to Web Sites and Blogs
Logpi includes a badge function for pasting Logpi posts or profiles on external web sites. To add badges, users select the items they like and automatically generated code is embedded into a website. Recent Log List (Mine/My Friends/ All Members), Profile (Self Introduction), Friends List and, Logs by Title List Badges are available.
