New GMO Internet Group Company Offers Effective Digital Content Distribution and Sales Solutions

Tokyo – April 21, 2008 – GMO Internet Group company, GMO System Consulting, Inc. announces the establishment today of GMO Digital Distribution, Inc. in a spin-off from GMO System Consulting.
The Purpose of Establishing a New Subsidiary
GMO System Consulting was established in April 2000 with operations centered around web systems development. In the summer of 2005 the company used its systems development strength to establish the digital content sales ASP service, Digital Contents King, and it continues to operate as a provider of this service.
Digital content sales ASP, Digital Contents King, is a system that makes possible simple downloading of content files from any web site. The service has grown to become a distribution platform used by around 70 content providers to distribute over 10,000 content files.
Going forward we expect the market for the sale and distribution of digital content through the Internet to expand, in light of its potential we have made the ASP business into a subsidiary. The new subsidiary, GMO Digital Distribution Inc, will be focused the digital content sales ASP, and provide all system services necessary to distribute digital content through the Internet.

The three companies GMO Internet Inc. GMO System Consulting Inc. and Acrodea Inc. have agreed in principle to establish a capital and business partnership between GMO Digital Distribution and Acrodea for the purpose of working as technical partners to introduce mobile content distribution through the PC service Digital Contents King. Acrodea is the highly reputed developer of the embedded software VIVID UI Series and other mobile phone user interfaces.
