Tokyo – November 30, 2007 – GMO Internet Group company JWord, the company that operates the Japanese Internet search tool of the same name, announces that links to JWord registered sites will now appear on the web search results page of the Eastbeam Co. Ltd game portal site, Wazap!

The Partnership
JWord has established many industry partnerships and JWord registered information appears in the search results of the majority of search portal sites in Japan, including Yahoo! JAPAN. Now JWord has formed a new partnership with Wazap! This game portal site is one of Japan’s leading portal sites, packed full of information on online games and game software for major Japanese game consoles. In addition to game Q&A, secrets, and strategies, users get information on games even before they are released. The site aims to provide a unique space for collecting and exchanging information on games and the Internet. The web version of Wazap! currently has 1.3 million unique users a month. The new partnership displays links to JWord registered sites on the Wazap! site increasing usability for Wazap! users.
Positioning of JWord Links
When users enter a term into the Wazap! search window that matches registered JWord information, a link to the registered site is displayed in the search results.

Enter the term “MMORPG” into the search box on the top page and JWord registered links are displayed in the search results.

Wazap!
Wazap! was created for gamers looking to share techniques they have discovered and gamers looking to find specific techniques. The site aims to support gaming culture by providing a place to publish, exchange, and gather game information, techniques and strategies.

JWord
JWord Inc. is funded by GMO Internet and Yahoo Japan. JWord is a simple and convenient Internet search service that allows users to conduct a search by entering a company name, product name or other word in Japanese directly into their browser’s address bar. The JWord plug-in has been installed on more than 45 million computers (our own estimate 11/2007) and this means that JWord is used on over 60% of all computers in Japan.
JWord also has partnerships with a number of major portal services including Yahoo! JAPAN, BIGLOBE, excite and @nifty. Easy to read symbols like the red J symbol displayed in the search results make it easy for users to access official sites and information related to their keyword.
