Always BCC - New Mail Archiving Hosting Service
Tokyo – August 27, 2007 – GMO Hosting & Security consolidated subsidiary HOSTING & SECURITY today launches new hosting service Always BCC. Always BCC offers a mail archiving function that automatically archives all sent and received mails including any attachments.
To celebrate the introduction of the new service we are offering free migration to the new service and 10GB of free web site space. GMO Hosting & Security is a GMO Internet Group Company.
As the use of e-mail in business becomes more and more widespread, there is a greater risk of information leakage via e-mail. Companies need a system that archives mail data for a fixed period of time and allows the administrator to retrieve and view data as required. However, introducing mail archiving software and building and maintaining a server for storing large volumes of mail data is a huge burden for small and medium business. This is why H&S has introduced a hosting service with mail archiving and retrieval that automatically sends all mail sent and received from the server to a single administration account.
Features of Always BCC
1. Search Function – searches mail content and attachment content
All sent and received mail is automatically backed up onto the server and registered in a database. This makes it possible to search from the administration screen by From, To, CC, Subject and Body fields as well as attachments.
2. Low Implementation Costs
The archiving function is included on the server so there is no need to install any mail archiving software or make changes to existing mail systems. And, because it is provided as a hosting service there is no need for the customer to have their own server.
3. Data Security
Mail data is PGP signed before storage to protect against falsification and data is stored on a server with a duplicate hard disk for a stable server environment.
