FeedBurner Introduced to IT Information Portal ASCII.jp
Tokyo – July 17, 2007 – FeedBurner, operated in Japan by GMO Internet Group company GMO AdNetworks, was introduced to the IT information portal, ASCII.jp on July 1 as official RSS management service. At the same time the RSS Feed Banner service that makes it possible to place advertisements on RSS Feeds also became available on the ASCII.jp site.
Why ASCII.jp adopted FeedBurner
1. FeedBurner access analysis tools offer statistics on subscribers that until now have not been possible to measure. In addition RSS has the ability to perform the secondary function of tracking.
2. Advertisers that participate in FeedBurner Advertising Network can create RSS (feed) advertising networks easily and benefit from a new form of advertising distribution allowing them to target RSS (feed) subscribers that until now they haven’t been able to reach.
FeedBurner Advertising Network
FeedBurner Advertising Network is an RSS advertisement distribution service that reaches RSS subscribers by publishing advertisements on the RSS Feeds distributed by media (websites). At FeedBurner we are currently approaching media (websites) and inviting them to participate in our RSS Advertising Network. Already many major news portal and other specialist information sites including ASCII.jp are participating.
Following ASCII.jp, we plan to officially release RSS Feed Banner on media sites currently using it on a trial basis. As FeedBurner is implemented by more publishers, the number of web sites in the FeedBurner Advertising Network is continuing to increase. We aim to be the largest RSS (feed) advertising network in Japan and will soon be introducing online placement and sales to further grow FeedBurner Advertising Network sales.
RSS Feed Banner Advertising Sales
FeedBurner RSS Feed Banner Advertising officially sold on ASCII.jp is a service that makes it possible for web sites to sell advertising space on their RSS feeds. Unused advertising space is minimized by FeedBurner selling any space not sold by the website to advertisers through the RSS advertisement distribution service, FeedBurner Advertising Network. RSS Feed Banner advertising is available from the ASCII.jp advertising menu.
