GMO Health Management Declaration

In Venture Spirit Declaration, GMO Internet Group believes that “a company is a tool for the happiness of all stakeholders involved, including partners, shareholders, and customers,” and that “We aim to be a Total Person in the three levels of life to achieve well-being:
Fundamental (health, mind, and learning), Actualization (work-life balance), and Results (financial success). ”

In other words, the “health” of our partners, both physically and mentally, is essential to the “happiness” of our stakeholders.

By promoting health management that works to maintain and promote the health of our partners, we aim to be a corporate group that achieves hundreds of years.

  • We have set our management challenge as "increasing the smiles of our partners and improving the performance of each person on the ground," and are investing in health by improving lifestyle and countermeasures against overwork in order to curb the decline in productivity due to absence from work and poor health and to increase motivation.

Health Management Policies

Under the spirit espoused in our Spirit Venture Declaration, we have made a company declaration to increase the smiles of our partners. We have implemented systems and policies to promote the physical and mental health of our partners through an abundant program of “Food,” “Healing,” “Activity,” and “Medical.”

Supporting Health Through Nutrition

At our domestic bases, large communication spaces known as “GMO Yours” are established, offering lunch menus supervised by registered dietitians. In addition, there is a café with a rich variety of drink options, light meals for those who have breakfast or work late into the night, and snacks to nibble on during breaks. All of these can be used free of charge, supporting the physical and mental health of our partners.

Provision of Spaces for Relaxation

We offer a napping space “GMO Siesta” to clear your head for work in the afternoon, and a massage room “GMO BaliRelax” where you can receive professional body care services at a reasonable price. By providing relaxation spaces within the office, we aim to increase work efficiency.

Support for Exercise Within the Company

We have installed a full-scale gym space “GMO OLYMPIA” within our premises, allowing employees to work up a sweat before or after their shifts. Additionally, we support our partners’ exercise activities by subsidizing half of the monthly fee for those who choose to use public sports gyms.

Initiatives

In these times where work styles are evolving, addressing physical inactivity and increasing communication are becoming more important for enhancing productivity. To tackle these issues, a group of enthusiastic members has formed the “Let’s Exercise!” project to foster a habit of exercise that brings health and smiles, as well as to provide opportunities for communication, thereby supporting an active lifestyle.
Furthermore, in terms of communication initiatives, not only our company partners but also those from cooperating companies involved in our health policies are encouraged to participate, thus expanding the scope of our health management activities.
