GMO mobile News Site, Yomerumo Introduces “mixi Check” Button
Tokyo – September 10, 2010 – GMO Ad Partners wholly-owned subsidiary, GMO mobile today announces that mobile news and entertainment website Yomerumo now features the mixi Check button, a new service by mixi, inc. operator of social networking service, mixi.
GMO Ad Partners is a GMO Internet Group company.
Now, with the simple click of a button, Yomerumo users (approx. 1 million email members) can now share articles they find interesting with friends on mixi. The new service is expected to promote communication between users, improve user satisfaction and increase the media value of Yomerumo by directing more users to the site.
Yomerumo
Yomerumo (http://news.merumo.ne.jp/ Japanese only) is a free news and entertainment website available on the three major Japanese cell phone carriers docomo, au, and SoftBank. Delivering over 150 articles each day to mobile users, the site receives around 73 million page views per month. In addition to news and entertainment Yomerumo features include trending topics on the web, a column on love, 4-panel manga and user generated content.
The free application Yomerumo News for iPhone/iPod touch enables free access to application content for iPhone users, a rapidly growing market demographic. To date the application has received over 60,000 downloads. Yomerumo News also allows iPhone users to post links and comments to Twitter from within the application.
