Partners with LG Uplus to Distribute G-Gee Android Games in Korea
GMO GameCenter to operate LG Uplus game platform, GameBox by G-Gee 
 

Seoul, Korea – August 22, 2011— GMO Internet Group company, GMO GameCenter, today announces that it has partnered with LG Uplus to launch the mobile telecommunications carrier’s smartphone game platform GameBox by G-Gee.  
The partnership with LG Uplus gives GMO GameCenter the opportunity to expand G-Gee into the Korean market and grow its global user base.
 
GMO GameCenter first launched its Android game platform, G-Gee in Japan last year featuring a mix of world renowned game titles and original content from independent developers. Since then the company has established subsidiaries in the US and Korea and G-Gee now distributes over 160 games. 
 
LG Uplus launched GameBox by G-Gee on August 11, delivering G-Gee content to smartphone users in the Korean market. The new game platform is the first of its kind to be offered by a mobile operator in Korea. GameBox by G-Gee will offer a selection of content previously only available on iPhone, popular Android titles from other countries, and games debuting in Korea for the first time. GameBox by G-Gee currently features 30 game titles and is expected to offer a total of 200 games by the beginning of 2012. Social networking features allowing users to chat with other players and participate in social-based games.
